He has over 10 years of banking experience spanning several positions from FCMB to Zenith bank, Guarantee Trust bank, Oceanic Bank and Ecobank where he bowed out as the manager of one of their branches in Apapa, Lagos. His job experience spans over several positions as he rose through the ranks from his days as a contract staff to Head of Operations through to acting Zonal Head of Operations overseeing over thirty branches and almost one thousand staff through to retail and corporate marketing to oil and gas then branch manager. He was also a facilitator at the Oceanic leadership academy (Oceanic Bank).

He has his B.SC (HONS) in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun state, an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, all in Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute for Training & Development – NITAD. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), a member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN), a member of the Institute of Operations Research (IOR) in the United Kingdom, a member of the society for Human Resource Management (SHRMi). He is a United Nations trained Microfinance trainer of Trainers (MFTOT).

Ayo appears regularly on Business Morning on Channels TV speaking and sharing on SME development issues in Nigeria.

He is an Author, Publisher, and blogger. He mentors lots of businesses and has raised over seven billion Naira in Funding for various SMEs in the last three years. He has authored two books titled ‘Life After banking’ (2012) and ‘From Employment to empowerment’ (2013), He is the co-Author of Raising Finance for your start-up business. He is the publisher of The Millionaire technology magazine.

He is a member of the leadership system of Daystar Christian Centre and a volunteer with the Daystar Business Forum where he also leads as a group head in charge of Business Support. He is one of the Coordinators of the Daystar Business Academy and the Daystar Mentorship program where people are taken from mere business idea (or even no business idea) to full-fledged businesses and then mentored through the business jungle by already established businesses. He has been involved in a lot of business, leadership, self-development, and business development and business management training and employee empowerment programs.

He is the co-founder and President of the Coinbox Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited and Chief Executive Officer of COINBOX LIMITED. He is a member of and supports other NGO’s and has a passion for empowerment.
