We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Hospitality, Entertainment & Events Industry.

GROUP HEAD, COMMERCIAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS

A dynamic and experienced professional to lead commercial business operations, drive revenue growth, and ensure profitability across our client’s restaurant, event venues, garden, gallery, and digital marketing units.

JOB DETAILS

– Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Own and deliver approved revenue targets across all five business units—Restaurant, Arena/Hall, Garden, Gallery, and Digital Marketing—including individual unit performance targets, revenue contributions, and consolidated business results.

2. Develop unit-level business development plans, sales pipelines, pricing proposals, package upselling, and cross-selling opportunities for executive approval where required.

3. Identify, prospect, pitch, and convert corporate clients, venue bookings, event opportunities, hospitality accounts, and repeat business within the existing units.

4. Work with unit managers to improve occupancy, utilisation, booking conversion, average transaction value, and customer retention.

5. Review weekly sales forecasts, pipeline stages, actual collections, and revenue gaps; initiate corrective action promptly.

6. Oversee the financial performance of all five business units, ensuring revenue growth, effective cost management, budget compliance, and profitability.

7. Evaluate new commercial opportunities within existing units and present business cases, expected returns, risks, and resource needs to the Managing Director (MD).

8. Coordinate with other units where cross-divisional bookings, promotions, or partnership require alignment.

9. Lead the Digital Marketing function and work with its Lead to translate campaigns into qualified leads, bookings, attributable sales, and customer retention across the five business functions. Agree on priorities with other division leads for group-wide campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality, Operations, or a related field.

– 7–10 years of relevant management experience.

– Proven experience in business development, revenue generation, and team leadership.

– Strong financial, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

– Experience in hospitality, entertainment, events, or related industries is an advantage.
